For a long time, Art Spiegelman's classic graphic novel(s) Maus has been out of print in Swedish.This sad state of affairs was rectified this autumn, when the collected edition was once again put in print by the publisher Brombergs. Sadly, the translation was not reworked and is still lacking quite a bit, which is a shame on such a landmark book. I still feel that it is a belssing that the Swedish edition is in print, and the reprinting has garnered som media attention - like when the chief editor himeslf at Sydsvenska Dagbladet did a lengthy review last week. For everyone able to read English I recommend the original version, though, which has never been out of print.
