Review: Calvin and Hobbes

The 21st of December, and we have celebrated Christmas here with the family, with full Swedish Christmas smorgasbord, presents and so on. Now everything is quiet, the guests have left and its time for today's review.

Wel, actually I'm far too tired to do a long review, so I'll settle for informing you all about the fact that Bill Wattersons's Calvin and Hobbes again is available in Swedish. Calvin & Hobbes is such a well known, loved and respected comic, that I see no need for a lengthy description, or declaration about why it is such a great comic for that matter.

Due to problems with right, this is not the ultimate, end-all edition, but rather a translation of the seven original American trade paperbacks (published as hardcovers), which means that they are neither complete nor fully chronological. Still, Calvin and Hobbes has over the years become a true classic (in a  time when that epithet is rather worn out), and it is  nice to see it being republished in Swedish, hopefully reaching new generations of readers. So, maybe you know someone who ought to have this in his or her Christmas Stocking? Or, if you really want to splash out, you could get the ultimate, complete and chronological English edition.
