Sekventiellt (Sequentially) is a blog about the art of comics - from my perspective. I write reviews and news updates, do reportage from festivals and so on. As I live in Sweden, much of what I write about is based here and in our Nordic neighbours. I update regularly, so feel free to use RSS feedto keep track of what's happening.
The clock is ticking and the race is on to create the next big childrens' comic in Sweden. The contest was announced a while ago, and media has been covering this event a bit, even though the debate about propaganda in Donald Duck seems to have been more popular... Anyway, today I talked on Swedish radio about the contest, and the need for more childrens' comics. If you have any questions about the contest, please contact the manager of the whole festival, Caroline Lund.
I'm having so much fun following this debate that I'm not getting any job done... Today I've given yet another interview about propaganda in Donald Duck, to be published in yet another Swedish newspaper tomorrow. At the same time someone gave me a tip that this story has also received attention in the German speaking parts of the world by now, which led me to Der Standard, where I'm quoted in German. Sounds like I'm saying about the right things even in this strange language.
I hang out a lot with comics artist and sometimes I give inspiration to a character in a story, or a portrait may end up in my trusted sketchbook. I will continually collect these portraits here. Click on the names below to see the images.
