News: Academic Conference in Copenhagen

Contemporary Comics, the academic conference on comics which will be held in Copenhagen to coincide with the major festival Komiks.dk, is getting closer. The 21st of May will see a big gathering of academics with a special interest in comics in our neighbouring town. I will be there to present a paper on Marjane Satrapi's graphic novel Persepolis. There will also be a gathering of the group working on the launch of the new Scandinavian academic journal, Scandinavian Journal of Comic Art, loads of interesting papers presented, an artist talk with Chris Ware and so on.
