Every year, Föreningen Svenska Tecknare, The Association of Swedish Illustrators and Graphic Designers, holds a national competition giving prizes in a number of categories relevant to the practitioners which they represent. Nowadays this also includes comics and graphic novels and right now the list for 2010 can be seen here. Quite interesting. Some of these I must confess I have actually not read or even seen in real life, a fact that I consider refreshing as it means that the comic culture of Sweden today is so varied that I can't keep track of everything that's being published.
