News: Tintin on trial in Belgium

A few years ago, there was a lot of talk about if it is right to keep the very racist comic album Tintín the Congo in print. Among the things that happened was that the album was indicted in several countries, including in Sweden. Yesterday, the verdict in one of these cases, in the home country of Tintin - Belgium, was supposed to be delivered, but this was postponed a week. Read more about this, here.

Having written the book Black Images in the Comics, I have looked deeply into this subject, and I am quite sure that it is better to keep the book in print, in order to expose the ideas of this era, rather than banning it and trying to pretend this never happened.
