I met Ho Che Anderson, a very talented and interesting Canadian artist, at the festival AltCom in Malmö last year. I had been in contact with him earlier, though, since a drawing of his from the beautiful biography King adorns the cover to the French edition of my book Black Images in the Comics. Anyway, he turned out to be a really nice guy and I hijacked him for one evening, inviting him to my home where he, among other things, got to play Wii Sports and try boxing with my wife and son.
That same evening I asked him to draw a portrait of me, which he did reluctantly (since he sadly, doesn't draw al that much any more) but with great finesse. The exclamation "nut balls", refers to the dish we served, a vegetarian version of meat balls made out of nuts...
