Right now, the Cowgirl evening held at Hedmanska gården in Malmö, in honour of the release of Karolina Bång's new book Cowgirls, is under way. Karolina is signing the new and beautiful book in front of an exhibition of images from the book and there are line dancing, live country and bluegrass music etc. A refreshingly different release party for a Swedish graphic novel.
Right now is also the last chance to view "Hållplats serier", the comics hangout/live sculpture situated at the heart of the festival.
The students of the Comic Art School of Malmö have adorned this strange snake like creation of boxes and beside it can, finally, be seen the large cut-out character created by Josefin Svenske, the project leader of this year's very visible position for comics at the Malmö Festival.
